Fundraising / Sponsors

The Air Training Corps is a youth organisation with particular emphasis on training in Aviation subjects - Public funding and RAF funds are directed at this area of the ATC - however there is a need for a wider variety of activities for the cadets and this is where the Civilian Commitee has a vital role in fundraising for these activities and also identifying activities that the cadets can take part in.

We currently need funding for the following …..

§Squadron minibus - £20 000 plus running costs

§ Band Equipment - £5000 to start our own Squadron Marching Band.

§Dining In Night – to be able to subsidise this for the cadets we need to raise £500

§Website and Newsletter - £50 per year for the Website hosting and Domain name. £300 per year for printing and distribution costs for the newsletter – 6 editions per year are produced for Cadets and other interested parties (schools, youth workers, council officers, local businesses)

§Parade shoes for the Cadets – Every cadet is issued with a full set of ‘Blue’ uniform for FREE – however they do not get issued with shoes and boots – official issue shoes from RAF Shawbury cost £22 for male cadets and £32 for female cadets.

§Office Supplies – printer ink, paper, pens, envelopes etc - £500 approx per year.

§Sports Kit - Sports shirts and shorts for our Junior and Senior Boys teams and our Girls team – approx £250 per kit

§Sport Equipment - To allow us to run out own Sports sessions on the Squadron and at local parks and leisure centres - £500 for footballs, basketballs, hockey sticks and balls and other multi sport equipment.

§First Aid Equipment – Workplace First Aid Kit for use at the Squadron x2 - £20 each, Replica Wound kit for Casualty Simulation Exercises- £45, Training pack – Casualty Simulation exercises, training manual, DVD - £60

§Training Aids – 2 x Laptops for use by Staff / Cadets involved in teaching - £400 each. Projector £400,

§Heavy Duty Office printer to allow for photocopying of paperwork and printing of notices, letters, posters etc - £250
