Air Cadet Pilot Scheme:

AIR CADET PILOT SCHEME (ACPS) 2006/07

1.Selection for award of the 190 Air Cadet Pilot Scheme courses will take place shortly. Suitably qualified cadets should complete the application form, available from Squadron Commanders, or downloaded from the ACO website: www.aircadets.org.

2.The breakdown is as follows:

a.125 Light Aircraft courses available, consisting of 12 hours flying, leading to solo, to be flown at Tayside Aviation, Dundee.

b.25 Microlight courses, consisting of 10 hours flying, leading to solo, to be flown at RAF Halton.

c.40 Air Experience Flying courses, consisting of 10 hours to be flown on the Tutor aircraft, at several locations.

d.There will be 36 Air Cadet Pilot Navigation Training Courses available, consisting of 10 hours flown on the Tutor aircraft at an AEF.

3.Cadets who successfully complete an ACPS course will be entitled to wear the new Air Cadet Pilot Brevet.

4.Cadets who successfully complete an ACPNTS course will be entitled to wear the Air Cadet Navigation Brevet.
