Want to join us?

As long as you are at least 13 years of age joining is very easy. Give us a ring or complete the form below to book a time to come down and visit on either a Tuesday or Thursday and you will be introduced to cadet life. You will be shown around the Squadron and told what you can do as an air cadet (flying, gliding etc.) and you will also be free to talk to the other cadets and find out more.

You will then join the recruit training flight under the watchful (and caring) eye of Warrant Officer Jackson who will take you through your first 6 weeks of training - this will teach you all the basics of being an Air Cadet -including measuring you for your uniform.

We have set intakes every three months - this enables you to start your training with a group

of new recruits, and you can then move on through your training together. You are welcome

 to come and have a look around on any night - email us and we will give you a date but

you can't start your training until the set Recruit Intake dates below.

Please contact us before you come down - just incase we are out on a trip away

from the Squadron, we can then arrange a suitable night for you to come down and see us.

SUMMARY INFORMATION:

Joining Age: 13 years to 17.5 years ( you can stay until you are 20 though)

Parade Nights - Tuesday and Thursday 7:00pm to 9:30pm

Cost - £2.00 per week to be collected on Tuesdays (1st 3 Weeks are free) for this you

get your Uniform, flying, gliding, shooting, sports. The only thing you will need to

purchase is your shoes - we will advise you of the type to purchase to wear

with your uniform.
